Relaxing as a family, in uncertain times.

In these times of uncertainty, we are trying to dismiss all of our doubts. Days are, however, currently quite strange and different from everything we know. We tend not to appreciate change and would rather stick to our short routines…

The question becomes then: how can we manage this new setting, while at home with children and/or without much social interaction? Here are a few ideas to help you relax, one parent at a time, or as a family:

→ meditate, 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening. Focus on 4 deep breaths visualizing your stomach. Inhale and exhale. This has been proven to be enough to provide relief from our anxiety.

→ create a short routine in the morning and in the evening. Get together every morning and express your greatest wish to achieve during the day. Then, meet again in the evening as to share the best time of the day. For children, it is always a good idea to include their stuffed animals (the little therapeutic bear) in these meetings so that they can take care of them too.

→ prepare yourself a warm and soothing drink.

→ always try and find time to tell each other kinds words, one day at a time.

→ use our therapeutic bear as a routine relaxation partner, suitable both for adults and children. Heat it for 30 seconds in the microwave oven (1000 watts). Then, place the little bear on your chest. By the weight of the bear, you will become aware of your breathing and the latter will slow down automatically.

→ finally, eat simple meals rich in nutrients and vitamins.

Take good care of yourselves,
